"Yazeed Hazir Ho" - Trailer of new film shot by me. Film is about effects of terrorism.
Yazeed was probably the biggest terrorist that ever was. He believed in the power of terror while Maula Hussain Alayhis Salaam vanquished him with the power of love and sacrifice. Maula proved that the power of love is greater than that of hatred and terror. Yazeed is now only remembered in curses if at all, while Maula Hussain and the martyrs of Karbala are immortal, respected by one and all.
I won't say anything much about those who try to defend Yazeed L.A. today. Most ulema and spiritual leaders from all sects have repeatedly exposed the lies of Dr. Zakir Naik in this regard.
This film is a treat for the lovers and adorers of Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alayhe Wa Aalehi Wa Sallam and his Ahlebayt AlayhimusSalam.

The Prophet called his daughter 'Umme Abeeha' or 'The mother of her Father' because Syeda Fatema Zehra Salamullah Alayha cared for her father so much. When people threw stones at him and he would be soaked in blood, she would comfort him and dress his wounds.

He used to stand up whenever she came into his presence. He used to stop in front of her door to greet her when he passed it. All this in an era when daughters were burried Alive!!!

When these babies turn into full grown Elephants they are so powerful that they can break these chains with the slightest effort. But they don't!!! The Elephants think that the chains cannot be broken!
They have been trained to think that way from childhood. It is their thought that has made them slaves forever.
If Yazeed had his way we too would be slaves forever. But Maula Hussain Alayhis Salam intervened. Maula Hussain broke all our mental shackles that enslaved us. Fear and hopelessness are the weapon of tyrants but Imam Hussain Alayhis Salam gave us hope and showed us what fearlessness really meant.
He sacrificed so much. He and others from the family of the Holy Prophet Sallallaho Alayhe Wa Aalehi Wa Sallam were kept thirsty for days and were slaughtered by the butchers of Yazeed. But Aqa Hussain was the grandson of the noble Prophet and his father was Ali. He practically demonstrated what the Prophet and his family stood for. He showed us the way in a manner that we can never forget. He is a shining example for us so that we may never think that we cannot escape slavery - so that we may never be like those mighty but uninspired Elephants who have been trained to surrender their freedom.
We recently did a short film on this issue for Al-Haadi Musalla of Toronto. This beautiful concept and story was written by brother Siraj Ali of Al-Haadi Musalla.

Give children back their mothers
The idea was not to prevent all women from working but rather the film looks at the 'collateral damage' resulting from the thoughtless pursuit of the 'perceived satisfaction' of being a working woman.
Some women do need to work for economic reasons but that is not the case with all working women.
There is a perceived emotional satisfaction of being a career woman but that needs to be weighed against the losses that occur in the family life. We need to fix up our priorities.
Many children have lost their mothers and their family lives because both parents are focused on their work and careers. We need to think whether this great loss is worth the emotional satisfaction of a career.
Can this satisfaction be achieved by women by being more socially active instead of taking up a career? Can a man leave his job instead and focus on his children? Will a father sitting at home for the children be able to substitute the loss of a mother for the children? This film raises these questions that we all need to sit and answer - for the sake of our children...

I was recently hired to design and execute an ad campaign for Such TV - a brand new TV channel. This video is a part of that campaign.
It was freezing cold when we shot this film and we actually saw people walking up to the mosque in such conditions when the call for prayer was given. It was amazing. Nothing else would have brought them out of the house otherwise... but the love of the Prophet brought them out of their cozy and warm houses out in the cold.

Brother Zamir believes in using mass media to warn people before it is too late. He gave us a mandate to produce a film on Namaz and the punishment of the grave. We have tried to put his vision on screen in the form of this film.
The muslim prayer or namaz or salah is an important pillar of Islam and this film attempts to analyze and discuss this important pillar vis a vis the grave and afterlife.

The film is made to highlight the issue of adultery. Unfortunately many have wondered off the right path and astrayed whilst falling into the sin of adultery, for one reason or another, in the western world it has become very common and we hear of many marriages ending or becoming a nightmare because of it.
Falling into the trap maybe easy, but do we realise the true harm it is causing to our akhirah?
May Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala keep all bad people and things away from us and May Allah Ta'ala guide us to the straight path and the path of those whom he has favoured...Insha Allah...Ameen

Aghosh - Short film - Part 2
This short film was made by us for Minhaj Welfare Foundation that runs an orphan care home by the name of Aghosh. Aghosh is in the process of adding more capacity and facilities so that it can cater to more number of orphans and provide them with world class facilities. I personally visited their site where construction activity was underway to accommodate 500 more orphans. Shaykh ul Islam, Dr. Tahir ul Qadri has a great vision for orphans of the ummah, but the project needs co-operation from all of us.
